A fathom is a unit of depth — six feet down, measured by an outstretched pair of arms, the old way sailors gauged how far below the surface the water really went. It's a fitting name for a tooth this old. This megalodon tooth, worn smooth by millions of years in the water, is 1.25 inches of pure prehistoric weight, framed on either side by stacked mother of pearl and deep green African jade.

The stones do real work here. Mother of pearl carries a soft, iridescent calm — patience, protection, the kind of quiet resilience that comes from something built up in layers over time. African jade is grounding and steady, a stone worn for strength and good fortune in equal measure. Both settle in naturally beside the tooth's own meaning: strength and resilience, carried up from the deep and worn now, close to the skin.
