The rectangular art glass bead above each tooth is hand-finished with a foil of gold leaf sealed under glass — no two are identical, the gold pooling and cracking its own way through the black every time. Small clear glass and gold-plated accent beads separate each element, so the eye moves slowly down the earring instead of landing all at once. Below it hangs a genuine fossilized shark tooth — natural, untouched by any dye or paint, matched as a pair so the two sit true to each other — wrapped by hand in gold-plated wire, dark and weathered the way only something tens of thousands of years old can be. Every element here — the bead placement, the wrap, the way the tooth sits — is set by hand, one earring at a time.
